If you’re a resident of Sevenoaks you might already be aware that copies of the Sevenoaks Town Neighbourhood Plan town wide questionnaire have started to be delivered. In fact, we’ve already received over 150 responses with a month until the deadline for return.
In the coming weeks we’ll be sending out reminders, putting up posters, talking to community organisations and trying to ensure a maximum response rate. But we need your help too, if you’ve not already completed the questionnaire you can do so at the Town Council’s website (sevenoakstown.gov.uk) please do share the link with your neighbours / local contacts, the more responses we get the better the data we’ll have to guide policies within the plan . All completed questionnaires returned before the deadline (30th May) from residents of Sevenoaks Town will be entered into a prize draw for an iPad Mini.
The Children’s competition entries have been received and winning entries selected by Cllr Hogarth – Mayor of Sevenoaks, Cllr Raikes – Chairman of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Committee, and Gabriel Shepard – Editor of the Sevenoaks Chronicle. The winners will be announced and presented with prizes at the Sevenoaks Town Council Annual Meeting on 19th May 2014. All entries will be on display.
As part of the Love Your Local Market campaign we’ve arranged for a stall to be at the Wednesday market, Buckhurst Lane in Sevenoaks on the 28th May from 9am – 2pm, to give members of the public the chance to drop by and discuss the Neighbourhood Plan project with Councillors, Officers, and others already involved with the project.
The next Steering Committee meeting will be held the same evening (28th May), 7pm, in the Sevenoaks Community Centre. Steering Committee meetings are open to all members of the public, so feel free to attend if you’d like to learn more about the project or get involved.
