Sevenoaks Town Council are currently planning extensive redevelopment of the Sevenoaks Community Centre site, redevelopment of the Grade II Bat & Ball Station which is the subject of a Heritage Lottery Fund Grant Application, and investment in the sporting facilities at Greatness recreation ground. The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Committee asked Sevenoaks Town Council in 2016 to consider developing a Masterplan focused purely on Northern Sevenoaks to capitalise on this planned investment, and guide other key development sites in the area such as the Gas Holder site and Waterworks.

Sevenoaks Town Council agreed to the develop a Masterplan, and in 2016 appointed planning consultants Urban Initiatives Studio to develop the Masterplan looking exclusively at Northern Sevenoaks. The Masterplan will set out their professional vision for how this area of Sevenoaks could best develop over the coming decades, to ensure benefits of development are captured for local people.

Recommendations made within the plan will feed into both the Town Council’s Neighbourhood Development Plan and District Council’s Local Plan Review which will both be the subject of further public consultation, and in the case of the Neighbourhood Plan a local referendum, before becoming adopted policy.

The Town Council has organised many pre consultation events open to members of the public, as well as meetings with key stakeholders to help inform the production of the draft plan.

The consultation timetable is set out below, please revisit this page on the 12th May 2017 to view the draft plan and consultation documents.
